Stages 2 and 3 participate in a 3 day Surf Education program.
This term the students in Years 3,4,5 and 6 participated in a 3 day surf education program. Day one concentrated on students developing a surf safety awareness from the classroom. Days two and three, the students tested and built upon their knowledge at Shelly Beach and Manly Beach. The students learnt how to behave appropriately if they even found themselves in sticky situation when at the beach. The students learnt how to read the ocean, where the best place to swim is and what the safest stroke to use is if they ever found themselves into trouble.
The students had an absolutely ‘gnarly time’!
